Homemade Mad Hatter Invitations
These adorable Mad Hatter invitations are perfect for the Alice In Wonderland party or shower theme.
If you are planning a Alice In Wonderland baby shower, then try your hand at these fabulous Mad Hatter invites.
I made these for a friend. I had to make 15 of them. Whew. It was a job. All the cutting and pasting. Make sure you have the time before you start any project of this kind.
The cost of these homemade baby shower invites were about $2.00 each. And I borrowed some of the stamps. Always count the cost before you embark on anything homemade.
It's not always cheaper. But if you're going for the WOW factor, these invites are sure to please. They turned out absolutely stunning!
You'll want to add who the shower is for, when, where, RSVP, directions to the shower, where the Mother is registered, and any other important information.
Here's a great source for scrapbook paper and supplies.

Instructions for Making Mad Hatter Invitations
- Cut out the black and cream harlequin paper with the decorative scissors.
- Draw a hat shape and cut out. (I used the
Alice In Wonderland Classic Madhatter Hat
as my inspiration.)
- Cut out your tea cups.
- Glue the cups and the hats onto card stock. You need them to be sturdy because we are going to place them on dimensional blocks later.
- Add the ribbon to the hat.
- Place gold dots in a square to look like a buckle.
- Cut out hat stand shapes from the gold paper.
- Now you can add a dimensional block to the back of the hat and place it on the hat stand.
- With your brads, secure the flowers to the base of the hat stands. I use two or three flowers of different colors.
- Glue a feather coming out from behind the flowers.
- Stick a dimensional block on the back of the tea cup and put in place.
- With a black marker, write on the front of the card...Mad Hatter Tea Party. Or you can say Mad Hatter Baby Shower. Whatever suits your fancy.
- On the inside I stamped 3 teacups along the top in green ink.
- I found a stamp that had all the required info like... where, when, date, time, location, and R.S.V.P. I stamped that in green as well.
- I decorated the envelope with a tea cup stamp, flowers, and feathers.
