Diaper cakes are not cakes that you can eat. They are made of diapers and baby things. You stack them to look like a cake.
You can have a 1 tier, 2 tier, 3 tier, 4 tier, or a 5 tier. Add anything you want to your diaper cake. With these easy diaper cake directions, you can create just about any design you desire. If this is for a shower, then be sure and stay with your theme.

Diaper Cake Directions Made Easy
Supplies you will need to make pink baby girl diaper cake shown...10 inch cardboard cake base, 32 stage 1 diapers, rubber bands, ribbon, double sided tape, pink grass, pink pacifiers, scissors, and cellophane.

- Unfold the diaper.
- Starting at the front, roll and secure with a rubber band or ribbon.
- Roll all of the diapers the same way.
- Place 8 diapers in the middle of your cake base.
- Secure with ribbon.
- Layer more diapers around the center pillar of diapers. If you go more than 2 tiers, put a bottle filled with candy in the middle to stabilize your cake.
- Place wide ribbon around the bottom layer and secure with double sided tape.
- Wrap sheer ribbon around that. Place a pink pacifier on the ribbon and tie in a pretty bow.
- Secure 3 diapers for the 2nd tier.
- Finish off the same way you did the first layer.
- Put pink grass on the top of the cake.
- Cut about fifteen 2 1/2 feet lengths of curling ribbon.
- Secure in the middle with tape around it.
- Run curling ribbon between your thumb and scissor blades to make the curls.
- If you're placing the diaper cake on the shower table, place the curling ribbon on top of cake.
- If you're giving the diaper cake as a gift, then wrap in cellophane or tulle and tie the curling ribbon on the outside.
- Cut the cellophane or tulle so that it's even on the top.
- You could make a gift tag and attach it as well.

Feel free to add any toys or baby items that you wish. You can fill the diapers with small items like fingernail clippers, thermometer, diaper pins, ect. You can add different toppers like stuffed animals, bows, flowers, rubber duck, tiara, rattles, blocks, ect.
