Bird Baby Shower Decoration And Centerpiece Ideas

As I said earier, you really can go two ways with this theme. For decorations, you will want to decide on which way you want to go and then stick with it through the whole shower.

For a great bird baby shower centerpiece that will go with both looks, place branches in a large vase. Secure nests and birds, here and there. Look for ornaments at Christmas and Easter. Another great bird centerpiece idea is a diaper cake. Make you own bird diaper cake or purchase a pretty pre-made one and add bird details.

Modern Bird Baby Shower Decor

Modern decor is usually very simple, but elegant. Use round circles to decorate the walls of your shower area. Hang large round lanterns from the ceiling.

Place bird cages in the middle of the table. Behind the cage, set a tall modern flower. An orchid would be nice. And then to make the arrangement balanced, set a white ceramic bird next to the bird cage. The plant needs to be the tallest, then the cage, and then the bird.

Keep everything slick and polished for the modern look. You do not want to go over board with this theme. Round placemats look great if you are doing a sit down shower.

These Baby Birds Supplies are a great match for this shower theme. A great start to a fabulous Bird Shower. And they will match the Modern or the Vintage feel.

Vintage Bird Baby Shower Decor

For the Vintage look, you will need to create more of a garden feel. And you can not do too much for this theme. Use garden statues, roses, bird baths, moss, bird's nest, candles, ect. to get that antique feel that you're after. Cover the tables with tablecloths and then lay lace tablecloths over that.

Lay some moss in the middle of the table. Place 3 tall bird houses in the middle of the moss. Set a nest at the bottom of the houses and place eggs in it. Use flower garlands on each table and over doorways.

Cover chairs in cream material and tie tulle around the back of the chair. Tie it in a big bow and hot glue roses in the middle of the bow. You can hang a plastic binky from the bow as well to tie in the whole baby shower theme.

Bird Baby Shower Games

A Little Birdy Told Me

This is a silly game based on the game "Telephone" or "Gossip". The first player whispers a "secret" to the one sitting next to her. She should make it baby oriented. The next person whispers to the next player. Keep going around the table until you get to the last player. The last player must then say it out loud. It is usually totally different than when it started out. Really simple and funny.

Baby Safety Pins

You'll need a bowl, safety pins, and fine bird seed.

Fill a bowl with bird seed and small safety pins. Blind fold the player for this baby shower game and have her pick out as many safety pins as she can with in a time period. It is harder than it sounds.

Don't Say "Bird"

String plastic pacifiers (can be found at a craft or hobby store) on a long piece of matching ribbon. As each guest comes in the shower, hang a pacifier around her neck and instruct her that she can't say the word "bird". If she does, someone can "steal" her pacifier. Keep this game going the whole shower. The player with the most pacifiers at the end of the shower, wins.

Printable Baby Shower Games

Printable games make the shower planning a breeze. You can get games like Baby Shower Bingo, Mad Libs, Word Scramble, Name That Baby, and many more. Print instantly for super easy baby shower game planning.

Bird Baby Shower Cake Ideas

You can do your bird shower cake two ways, you can do a whole cake or cupcakes. You can also do both. Have a cute little cake for a centerpiece and serve cupcakes as well.

For a really cute bird cake, bake a two layer cake and frost with cream colored icing. Place a bird's nest and eggs on top of the cake. Add a pretty little mama bird. Embellish the bottom of the cake with greenery and flowers.

For cupcakes, you can place toasted coconut on the cupcakes and add some baby birds with blue icing. Or make tiny baby bird picks from scrapbook paper and supplies. Glue onto a toothpick and you have your own homemade bird cupcake picks.

Place the cupcakes on a wire cupcake holder. Decorate around the cupcake holder with greenery and nests.
